The Dollarbird is a member of the Roller family - Coraciidae. It is named Dollarbird because of dollar shaped markings on its wings.

It has flycatcher like habits of sitting on a favorite perch and hawking for insects.

The lighter area on the back of his head is caused by the sun, not premature baldness.
