The ostrich is possibly the most easily recognized bird in the world. It is huge, flightless and frequently seen in zoos.
Ostriches live in Africa and used to live in the Middle East as well. Although it east mostly plants, it will eat insects as well.
The Osrich has the distinction of being the first bird listed in the classification of birds.
