The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is a great example of the Tyrant Flycatchers. Their long tail feathers help them with acrobatic flight.
They range from SE United States into NE Mexico. They get most of their food through a method known as ‘hawking’. Hawking involves sitting still on a tree branch and then swooping out to catch a passing insect.
