The Eurasian Treecreeper, Certhia familiaris is found throughout temperate woodlands of Europe and Asia. It prefers conifers and actually likes to nest behind flakes of bark of Giant Sequoia where they have been introduced.

It lives down to sea level in the northern parts of its range. But, the further south it ranges, the higher in elevation it tends to live.
