The Anhinga or Snakebird is a cormorant-like bird of tropical America. Unlike cormorants, these diving birds have no oils on its feathers, so it is not boyant or waterproof. So, when it swims, usually only its neck and head are seen above water. Then, it will sun itself with wings outstretched to dry its feathers.
