The Bohemian Waxwing, Bombycilla garrulus, is a subtly beautiful bird of the northern forests of Asia and northwestern North America. It eats primarily fruit, but will also take invertebrates - especially during breeding season.

You can often see them in large flocks - especially in the winter on fruit trees where there is some fruit remaining.

Classification:

Order: Passeriformes
Family: Bombycillidae
Genus: Bombycilla
Species: B. garrulus
