The Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, Coracina novaehollandiae, is a fairly common bird in Solomon Islands, New Zealand and Australia. It can be seen in many cities sitting on a prominent perch.

They eat some fruits but mostly take insects and other invertebrates on the wing.
