The Palmchat, Dulus dominicus, is the sole member of the family Dulidae. It has a limited range on three islands in the Caribbean: Hispaniola, Gonâve Island and Saona Island.
They are very social birds and will nest in large messy nests that they share. They will often roost in groups - wing to wing.
They eat fruits and flowers - especially the flowers of epiphytic orchids.
