The Pine Grosbeak is a beautiful bird of the northern pine forests. It lives in the northern areas of North America, Europe and Asia.

The Pine Grosbeak is distinctive in its form and coloration with a large bill able to feed on seeds and insects alike. It supplements its diet with buds and berries. The birds in my photo below were even eating small twigs.
