The Sandhill Crane is a large crane that summers in the northern tundras of North America and flies far south for the winter. It can often be seen in large flocks at favorite stopovers.
These birds also provide entertaining mating dances where they jump high in the air.

"In case you haven’t noticed, I’m obsessed with Sandhill Cranes. It’s a healthy obsession. =o) The few precisely uniform poses I have of these birds, crack me up, because most of the time, they are going all directions, doing their own thing, which I think is actually when they feel calm and safe. I notice they go all uniform and robotic when they are watching out for something. When the threat passes, THEY VOGUE!!!
