The Lesser Striped-Swallow, Cecropis abyssinica is a bird of sub-saharan Africa but will migrate further north. It lives mostly in wooded lowlands and will be seen in towns and cities as well.
It nests like a typical swallow on a wall or cliff and takes advantage of human structures. It takes insects and other small prey on the wing.
