The Golden-headed Manakin is a beautiful member of the Pipridae family. It lives in Panama and the northern half of South America.
It lives in the forest and on farms.
The males have a communal courting display where they will dance and give unique calls. The dance is done by quickly stepping along a branch and also flying rapidly back and forth to other branches.
