The Resplendent Quetzal could be argued to be the most beautiful bird in the world. The people of Central America where it lives would certainly argue that it is.
The Resplendent Quetzal is very secretive and rarely seen. It lives in the high mountain cloud forest and nests in cavities in the trees. It eats primarily fruit, insects and sometimes frogs.
